Carter Grayson was one of Mariner Bay's best firefighters. His daredevil manuevers risked his life, but saved those in danger. Carter is brave, headstrong, and quick thinking. As a child, Carter was saved from a burning building by a mystery firefighter. This encounter led him to follow in his savior's footsteps and become a firefighter himself. He later found this mystery firefighter to be none other than Captain Mitchell. He was the first to accept his role as a Lightspeed Power Ranger, and courageously led them against Diabolico's forces. Carter bravely took down Queen Bansheera in a final battle, tossing her into the shadow world for good. When Vypra returned from the dead and began terrorizing Silver Hills, Carter reunited the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers, who helped the Time Force Rangers defeat the undead demon princess. When Machine Empire forces unearthed Serpentera to destroy Earth, Carter teamed up with 9 other Red Rangers and travelled to the moon to stop them.

Chad Lee

Chad Lee had just completed one of his whale shows at a theme park when he was approached by Lightspeed agents to take him to the Aquabase. The valiant and skilled fighter didn't think twice about joining the Power Rangers when he witnessed Diabolico's ruthless attacks on the city. Chad is quiet and reserved, and spends much time scuba diving, feeling a connection with marine life. He brings to the team his exceptional martial arts ability, and water rescue skills. Chad found his true love in Marina, a mermaid he has encountered while punishing litterers. After a couple of adventures together, Chad and Marina eventually parted ways. Chad used his underwater skills to become a lifeguard. he resumed his role as a Ranger when the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers teamed up with the Time Force Rangers to battle an undead Vypra.

Joel Rawlings

No one could be more suited to pilot Aero Rescue Three than stunt pilot Joel Rawlings, a hotshot with a cowboy hat who loves to impress the public, first with his aerial ability, and now with his adventures as the Green Ranger. He was extremely reluctant to become a Power Ranger at first, not beleiving in Lightspeed or what it had to offer, but when he saw his beloved city in danger, he didn't hesitate to jump into action. Joel has a crush on Lightspeed scientist Ms. Fairweather, and tried time and time again to win her over. He finally succeeded, when Ms. Fairweather finally agreed to go out with him during a raid on the Aquabase. Joel eventually married Ms. Fairweather. As luck would have it, Vypra returned from the dead just before their honeymoon, forcing Joel to postpone it so that he could fight alongside his teammates, allied with the Time Force Rangers.

Kelsey Winslow

Kelsey Winslow was chosen to be the Yellow Ranger for her exceptional physical prowess. She loves the thrill of extreme sports, including rock climbing, and there's no sport more extreme than being a Power Ranger. She enthusiastically accepted the role as one of Mariner Bay's defenders, and enters every battle looking forward to new challenges and adventures. Kelsey recently reconciled with her grandmother, whose preoccupation with wealth and indifference towards Kelsey drove the two apart. After the demons were defeated, Kelsey returned to her life in extreme sports, but would be called into action once more when the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers joined forces with the Time Force Rangers to battle Vypra, who returned from the dead.

Dana Mitchell

Before becoming the Pink Ranger, Dana Mitchell was trained for eighteen years by her father, Captain Mitchell. She serves as a paramedic at Lightspeed, and had no idea that she was being groomed to become one of the Power Rangers should the need arise. Dana is serious, intellectual, and level-headed. She gathered the team together from all over Mariner Bay, and is a valuable asset to the team as one of them. Dana had a very brief stint as a model, but she quit when she found it to interfere with her duties as a Ranger. Dana fulfilled her dream of becoming a doctor, and practices as a pediatrician. She was once more called into active duty when the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers helped the Time Force Rangers battle Vypra, who had returned from the dead.

Ryan Mitchell

Ryan Mitchell is the son of Lightspeed's own Captain Mitchell. Years ago, when Ryan was a child, he, Dana, and their father were involved in a car accident. The car went over a cliff, leaving all them hanging from a tree root. Captain Mitchell held onto Dana, but Ryan was about to fall. Diabolico appeared and offered to save Ryan in return for keeping him. Out of desperation, Captain Mitchell agreed, and Diabaolico left with Ryan, telling Mitchell that he would see him again on his 20th birthday. Years later, on that day, an experimental Titanium Morpher was stolen from the Aquabase. It was Ryan who had stolen it. He used it to become the Titanium Ranger and try to destroy the Rangers. Diabolico had raised him to despise his father for not saving him, and Ryan was out for vengeance. When he learned the truth - that his father did indeed love him, and did everything he could to try and save him, Ryan left Diabolico's side and joined Lightspeed as the Titanium Ranger. This betrayal came with a price however. Diabolico gave Ryan a tattoo of a cobra, which came to life and moved towards his neck each time he morphed, until it killed him. Because of this curse, Ryan morphed sparingly, and was unable to assist the Rangers many times. Ryan finally broke the curse by going to the tomb where Diabolico had been imprisoned, and destroying the cobra statue which had been the tattoo's source of power. Titanium Ranger uses the Titanium Laser, a poweful blaster which transforms into a battle axe. Ryan left the Rangers for a while to search for a way to recapture Queen Bansheera. He eventually rejoined the team, and they put Bansheera away for good. Ryan would later fight as the Titanium Ranger again when the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers teamed up with the Time Force Rangers to battle a resurrected Vypra.
